BACKGROUND
FRAC-T™ Fractal-Spectral Camouflage Systems are designed by DJ, a US Army Veteran,
Private Sector Security Professional, and Graphic Designer.
He sought to create a series of regionally and seasonally applicable camouflage patterns that better promoted compatibility and blending
elements of nature alongside finding both himself and his peers/ associates discussing a need for more options of highly effective camouflage
to use in a variety of applications.
He spent several years studying the dynamics of camouflage effectiveness alongside environmental analysis,
all on top of his 20+ years of experience using various patterns in the field.
Using his design skills, he has developed an initial line of superior performing camouflages.
HOW FRAC-T™ WORKS
It enhances and improves the capabilities of blending, concealment, color, design, patterning,
and production efficiency for camouflage across the board;
- OPTIMIZED PATTERN SCALING: mitigates the “blob out” profiling that happens with smaller sized patterns when viewed at a distance, and improves blending at closer proximity.
- GREATER PATTERN RANDOMIZATION: with less unnatural curves and lines, our patterns better cater to the visual aspects of the environment and foliage.
- OMNIDIRECTIONAL CAPABILITY: many patterns on the market are linear and repetitive, requiring a specific process of cutting the printed material and the patterns still repeat often—our patterns can be cut in any direction, reducing waste and providing an optimal level of pattern variation to better blend to the natural environment.
- IMPROVED COLOR PALETTE: many patterns using a standard color scheme look unnatural and/ or are easier to spot/ identify with the human eye. Our patterns have an improved series of colors to best reflect and blend to the environment.
TESTING AND PROTOTYPING
FRAC-T™ PATTERNS
- FRAC-T™ W is the “jack of all trades” standard woodland variant pattern, functional and optimized in typical woodland terrain types.
- FRAC-T™ SW is for swamp and cypress dominant regions and terrain types, also functional in some river delta areas.
- FRAC-T™ HW is the heavy woodland variant, for dominant use in densely forested areas and regions with lower light values year-round. For jungles and regions like the northern US, Canada, Alaska, northern Europe, northern Russia, etc.
- FRAC-T™ RW is the rocky woodland variant, where the intermediate transition of terrain and mixed woodland and hills or mountains are prevalent, providing maximum blending and concealment.
- FRAC-T™ PS is the plains and scrub environment types pattern where open and typical sparse foliage dots the landscape, providing maximized blending capability.
- FRAC-T™ A is an autumn/ fall pattern for seasonal application, optimized for typical woodland terrain types to best blend with more exposed soil, leaf litter, and foliage variation between coniferous and bare deciduous.
- FRAC-T™ D is a desert pattern designed for maximum function ranging from the southwestern US to the Middle East and everything in between.
- FRAC-T™ MU is the dominant high mountains and select urban environments pattern where there is no foliage to provide optimized terrain blending.
- FRAC-T™ S is the dedicated snow/ winter pattern for seasonal application, functional in all terrain types to provide maximum blending and concealment.
- FRAC-T™ FL is a sub-tropical and tropical blurred pattern, originally designed in collaboration for use in Florida, it provides optimized performance for the dedicated regions and climates that possess a unique blend of foliage.
